Romanza Interior Design selected for new Delfina estate model at Mediterra
Melissa Allen of Romanza Interior Design has been selected to create the interiors of London Bay Homes’ new Delfina model at Mediterra.
A previous version of the Delfina sold shortly upon its completion in 2014. London Bay Homes’ second Delfina will showcase several of the popular features of the original, including a game room and a pop-up television hidden within custom cabinetry. The home also will have a transitional interior design featuring turquoise and magenta against neutral off-white, taupe and gray backgrounds.
The four-bedroom Delfina is currently under construction in the Serata neighborhood at Mediterra, Naples’ premier golf and beach club, and is expected to open for viewing in May 2015.
The Delfina will offer formal living and dining rooms, a family room, study, four full baths and a powder room within 4,329 square feet of living space.
Hickory wood flooring with a dusty ash finish will accentuate the open floor plan. Five-inch wide random-length planks will continue from the foyer throughout main gathering areas and into the study, game room and master suite. Sliding glass doors in the living room and zero-corner doors in the family room will showcase the water view of one of Mediterra’s remaining lakefront homesites.
Allen has selected furnishings in mixed finishes, including stainless steel, gray pearl, metallic antique pewter, ebony, white lacquer, weathered wood and glass. Millwork will accent ceilings and walls throughout the model, and the living room will feature built-in cabinetry to showcase art and accessories.
The coffered ceiling above the family room, kitchen and nook will feature a painted gray finish.
The kitchen’s freestanding oak island will be painted black and feature a light gray granite waterfall countertop with slabs reaching to the floor on two sides. The gray granite will be paired with painted white cabinetry and a crystal cave gray shell linear glass tile backsplash.
The kitchen will offer stainless steel appliances, including a Wolf oven, cooktop and microwave, Sub-Zero side-by-side refrigerator and an Asko dishwasher.
Custom cabinetry between the family room and game room will be painted white to match the kitchen. The adjoining bonus room will be shown as a game room with a billiards table.
Situated in an intimate wing are the model’s powder bath, study and master suite. Wood flooring in the private hallway continues into the master bedroom, which will have a weathered oak poster bed with linen headboard and footboard panels accented with nailhead trim.
The suite also offers connecting his-and-her walk-in closets, and its bathroom will be finished with a Calcutta porcelain tile floor and tiled shower. His-and-her vanities will boast a painted dolphin gray finish and Bianco Raffello marble countertops. Each will have a serpentine-shaped glass tile backsplash, an element that also will accent the shower walls.
Outdoors, the Delfina’s expansive screened-in living area will offer seating and dining areas and a special space around a fire pit. Furniture will include black walnut resin wicker, polished concrete-accented pieces, and a shaded dome day bed. Pearl-toned Olympic paverstones will be used on the deck and outdoor areas, echoing the dust-colored tile in the pool and spa.
The outdoor kitchen will offer a stainless steel Wolf grill and Sub-Zero refrigerator, quartz countertops and a tiled backsplash.
Decorative medallions and ornamental metal will accent the façade of the model, which is expected to be priced at just below $3 million.
The model is being built with a three-car garage, pool and spa.
