Romanza Interior Design selected for new Benita villa at Miromar Lakes

Michael Scott of Romanza Interior Design has been selected to create the interiors of London Bay Homes’ new Benita model at Miromar Lakes.

Showcasing coastal-inspired furniture and tropical accents, the luxury single-family villa is located in Portofino, a waterfront neighborhood surrounded by 700 acres of contiguous freshwater lakes at Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club. The exclusive builder in Portofino, London Bay’s 20-home enclave is reminiscent of an Italian village with its cobblestone streets and plazas.

One of nine maintenance-free villas offered by London Bay, the 3,102-square-foot Benita has four bedrooms and four baths. Its open floor plan is introduced in the foyer, a space that sweeps into the adjoining dining room, great room and kitchen area.

The model is shown with a tech center in the owner’s entry, a three-car garage and a summer kitchen with grill, sink and refrigerator.

Scott has selected ivory-hued backgrounds for the Benita, including shell-stone flooring in main living areas and the master bath, finishes for bathroom and kitchen cabinetry and light travertine and quartz countertops. Clean-lined decorative fixtures will add a modern contrast to the coastal influences of light-toned and painted furniture and tropical colors in art, accents and bedding.

The model also features coffered ceilings with crown molding in several rooms and a buffet/art niche in the dining room.

A wall of sliding glass doors in the great room showcase the pool and extend interior living spaces into an alfresco area with sitting and dining groups and a pool deck finished with ivory stone concrete pavers installed in a basketweave pattern.

The kitchen offers a walk-in pantry, a freestanding island breakfast bar with seating for four, decorative glass doors on upper cabinetry and a wine refrigerator. Sliding doors from its café also access outdoor living.

The Benita’s master suite offers his-and-her walk-in closets and its bathroom has a large walk-in shower, a soaking tub and vanity with double sinks.

The tech center in the owner’s entry features custom cabinetry with a desk positioned under a window. The nearby utility room has a front-loading washer and dryer.

Each of the Benita’s guest rooms has a private full bathroom.

The model will have 4,554 total square feet including covered entry, outdoor area and the three-car garage.

Its architecture will boast Spanish influences with clean white stucco paired with terracotta barrel roof tile. The model’s custom double iron and glass entry doors have a modern design aesthetic.

The partially furnished Benita model is currently under construction and scheduled for completion in June 2015.
