Romanza Interior Design receives seven Sand Dollar Awards

Romanza Interior Design was honored with seven coveted Sand Dollar Awards for its interior design of three custom luxury residences during the annual awards program presented by the Collier Building Industry Association’s Sales and Marketing Council.

Garnering Interior Design of the Year, Best Kitchen Design and Best Master Suite, the grand, innovative luxury estate by London Bay Homes at The Estuary – Grey Oaks was brought to life by a collaboration between an experienced design team and repeat clients whose vision for a new home was ultra-contemporary yet warm and inviting with an emphasis on livability, outdoor areas and entertaining. Contemporary is embraced in a palette of whites, warm grays and ebony, minimal ornamentation, high-gloss and lacquered finishes, large-format 70-by-30-inch polished natural stone flooring and dramatic backlit dropped ceilings for visual impact. Custom-designed counter-height consoles with gravity-defying cantilevers and lacquered finishes subtly define spaces in main gathering areas while keeping the feel open and spacious.

Located in Talis Park, the luxury estate by London Bay Homes received top accolades for Interior Design of the Year for its stunning interiors. The interior design of this custom residence reflects the casual, open and inviting style of the homeowners, whose top wish was for a home designed for entertaining. Furniture groupings create intimate conversation areas within a spacious great room-reception area that flows to a bar and lounge area, the kitchen and dining area, an expansive game room with shuffleboard, a full-size arcade game, card and billiards tables, as well as numerous outdoor destinations. Entertainment is also emphasized in thoughtful places for overnight guests. A freestanding cabana offers a bedroom, morning kitchen and private patio. Accents of sea-glass aqua are reflected in the planked bed wall, bathroom barn doors and bathroom backsplash with a porthole window echoing architectural accents.

In Port Royal, London Bay Homes’ custom residence designed by Romanza Interior Design was honored for Interior Design of the Year, Best Master Suite and Best Specialty Feature for its exquisite den. Innovative and thoughtful luxury features like Weiland LiftSlide and Viva Porte glass doors, a boutique Poliform closet and clean-lined furnishings impart an interior aesthetic reflecting the home’s coastal contemporary architecture while ever mindful of elevating its water views and the interplay of indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring large windows that are purposefully unadorned to enhance views. Bright white is warmed with the soft sand and earth tones of 15-by-25-inch porcelain flooring, honey-hued woods, custom cabinetry and architectural ceilings adorned in upholstered leather and rift-sawn oak. Watercolor blues and greens inspired by the serene setting are complemented with shimmers of champagne, glass and high-gloss surfaces, saturated jewel tones, vivid turquoise and dark textural undertones in furniture, fabric, art, accessories and lighting.

The second-floor den was designed for entertaining and work, enveloped in textural wallcovering and rift-cut oak accented with reglet channels, the latter also accenting the ceiling. Two coiled brass and black pendants illuminate a desk and a sitting area with four cream-colored upholstered armchairs and a contemporary glass-topped coffee table. Custom built-in etageres are positioned on each side, displaying objects and sculptural pieces, some with brass finishes. Art and accents introduce burnt orange and bold patterns.
