Romanza Interior Design chosen for London Bay Homes’ Bettina model in Mediterra

London Bay Homes has selected award-winning Romanza Interior Design to create the interior design for its new Bettina model, a four-bedroom, four-bath luxury single-family villa in the Cabreo neighborhood at Mediterra.

Romanza’s Luann Powers Gliwski has chosen shades of blue and taupe; white and beige backgrounds; and gunmetal, nickel and light wood finishes in creating a relaxed contemporary aesthetic. Textural grasscloth, clean lines juxtaposed by organic shapes, and a mix of soft patterns with the occasional bright blue appear throughout the Bettina’s 3,100 square feet of living space.

“A harmonious combination of the colors, textures and materials creates visual excitement while emphasizing the openness of the floor plan,” Powers Gliwski said. “The model will feel like a home, with spaces visitors can easily envision as their own. It’s relaxing and inviting."

The Bettina offers a dining room, great room, kitchen cafe and den. The model also features built-in storage cabinetry and a desk in the owner’s entry hallway near the garage. Its fourth bedroom is shown as a den.

Powers Gliwski’s choice of a large-format 18-by-36-inch tile with striations of taupe is used in main gathering areas and accented in the foyer with a basket-weave patterned tile inset.

The open floor plan is introduced in the foyer, which flows into adjoining dining room, great room and kitchen. Walls of sliding glass in the great room and cafe open to a covered living area offering a fully equipped summer kitchen.

Ivory upholstered furniture sets the stage in the great room for bright blue pillows, gray finishes and metallics, including antique pewter and alloy. The ceiling is accented with shallow beams and cove lighting, and the media wall features grasscloth inset bordered by molding.

The Bettina’s custom pool, spa and a water feature with a multi-level spillover are finished with stained glass celestial blue tile. The model also has a dark walnut fire pit with tumbled lava rock.

Softer colors are used in the master bedroom, which has a bed with an upholstered headboard, subtle fabric patterns, light furnishings and a French door leading out to the pool area.

The master suite also offers dual walk-in closets, and its bathroom features beige-painted vanity cabinetry with two sinks and a beige quartz countertop with waterfall edge. The quartz is also repeated in the deck of the freestanding tub and as a custom bench between the tub and frameless shower. Powers Gliwski has also selected large-format tile for the bathroom floor and shower walls and an elegant espresso-finished chandelier with crystals.

Each of the Bettina’s guest rooms has a full bathroom with crisp white shaker-style cabinetry, custom-framed mirrors with light fixtures applied directly to the upper surface, and either white or taupe quartz countertops. The fixture in one bathroom features a trio of lights that resemble spun glass. The other bathroom has a three-dimensional wave patterned tile in its tub and shower enclosure.

The exterior of the Bettina features rough-cut stone cladding, a paver driveway and walkway, Colonial-style louvre shutters, and metal grills and entry gate.

The Bettina is one of three floor plans offered by London Bay Homes in Cabreo, an intimate neighborhood of 39 maintenance-free luxury villa homes overlooking lakes and nature preserves.

The Bettina offers 4,577 total square feet, including a covered entry, outdoor living area and three-car garage. It is expected to be complete later this summer and will include lawn and landscape maintenance provided by the homeowners’ association.
