Romanza Interior Design caps off custom design for Gulf Shore Blvd. estate
Located in close proximity to downtown Naples’ vibrant dining and entertainment, the newest custom estate on Gulf Shore Blvd. takes note with interiors by award-winning Romanza Interior Design.
For their home’s interior, Rob and Cathy Funderberg relied on the expertise of Jennifer Stevens of Romanza.
“The Funderbergs brought really clear ideas of what they wanted in their home’s interior design,” said Stevens. “The whole process, from concept to completion, was really a collaborative team effort. For example, we designed the wine room in deep grey and gold and incorporated a favorite piece from American artist Jennifer Barlett that was important to Rob and Cathy.”
Stevens employed a crisp white-on-white design throughout the home, including a guest room sitting area, to a beautiful plaster range hood and show-stopping marble island in the kitchen.
Spectacular gulf views informed much of the home’s design, including the upstairs lounge and terrace, as well as Rob’s office. Weiland sliders in the main living room open wide to an outdoor living area that boasts a sparkling pool with blue-and-white circular patterned tile.
“I’m looking forward to having friends and family enjoy our home with us,” said Cathy. “We’ve worked really hard at getting the space put together, and it is great!”
The couple also collaborated with MHK Architecture & Planning to incorporate the features they wanted for their home on their relatively intimate homesite, including an open western exposure, and then turned to London Bay Homes to deliver a custom-building experience from concept to completion.
