Romanza captures island living in new downtown Naples model by London Bay Homes
London Bay Homes has selected Melissa Allen of Romanza Interior Design to create the interiors for the new two-story, three-bedroom Chelston model, which will feature natural walnut wood floors in the main first-floor living areas and vibrant island-inspired colors, such as rainforest citrus, teal, coral, butter and eggplant against off-white backgrounds.
Located at 631 Broad Court, the 4,227 square-foot model is the second in a series of fully furnished downtown model homes underway by London Bay. The first sold for $2.6 million a month after its completion.
In keeping with the architectural mix of Old Naples, the Chelston will feature a blend of West Indies and Old Florida-inspired architecture, with transom windows, a tin-type roof, and an entry water fountain accented with Mexican beach pebble and granite.
The Chelston also will feature British Colonial interior design elements and convey the feeling of an island paradise – an apt design for the single-family home located just blocks from the Gulf of Mexico.
The Chelston’s floor plan emphasizes outdoor living, open gathering spaces and luxury living – all signatures of London Bay Homes. The home will offer a study, formal dining room, three full baths, a powder room, and a great room opening to the kitchen and breakfast café. The generously sized second floor, with 1,284 square feet, will have two bedrooms with private full baths and walk-in closets, and a large loft with a wet bar.
Allen has selected clean-lined dark walnut wood furniture to complement and contrast the flooring, with burl wood and rustic detailing and woven accents. Unique furniture pieces will include the master bedroom’s king-size canopy bed with gauzy sheers and an 84-inch custom dining room table with a clear stacked-glass base and a clear glass top with a hand-chipped, sandblasted, iced edge.
The great room ceiling will feature stained beams and jute-inspired wallcovering.
The Chelston’s kitchen will boast an all-white palette – a top trend identified by the National Association of Home Builders. It will have white painted cabinetry and a white-ice glass tile backsplash. A built-in hutch will feature a white body and dark-stained upper inset cabinetry doors with glass inserts.
The freestanding island breakfast bar’s granite is being designed with a waterfall edge to the floor. The kitchen also will offer stainless steel Wolf, Asko and Sub-Zero appliances, including a wall oven and microwave above, a dual-fuel 36-inch range, and side-by-side refrigerator.
The walk-in pantry will offer a home office that continues into the laundry room, which will have a steam washer and dryer.
The great room, kitchen café and master bedroom will open to outdoor living spaces, offering dining and seating areas as well as a summer kitchen with stainless steel grill, refrigerator, sink and granite countertops.
The master bedroom will feature wood flooring, a walk-in closet, and double doors opening to the pool area. Allen is creating a serene, Zen-like master bath, with sliding glass doors in the shower opening to a private garden with an outdoor shower, pebble stone flooring, a wall fountain and decorative plants.
The bathroom will offer a dark walnut floating vanity with marble countertops and a glass tile backsplash, porcelain tile flooring and walls, and a freestanding tub. The shower is defined by a glass wall to enhance the room’s openness.
The second-floor loft will feature splashes of coral, eggplant and teal.
The custom linear pool will be accented with moon-hued brick mosaic glass tile with a dark Tahoe blue interior. Outdoor spaces will feature pearl marble pavers, trellises, a freestanding fountain, a secluded fire pit and resort-style chaises.
Including covered outdoor areas, the home’s entry and a two-car garage, the Chelston will offer more than 5,000 total square feet.
