Romanza Interior Design showed off six Sand Dollar Awards during the Collier Building Industry Association's annual gala recognizing builders, developers, architects, remodelers, interior design firms, landscape architects, trades and marketing, sales, and/or advertising professionals  who have demonstrated excellence in Collier County.  The full-service boutique interior design firm brought home three Interior Design of the Year awards, as well as two Trade Partner Awards for Best Kitchen designs and one Trade Partner Award for Best Master Suite for their contribution on home in Naples FL.

The Luxury Home at 4395 Gordon Drive in Port Royal

The first luxury home in Naples was recognized for excellence was the luxury single-family home built by London Bay Homes at 4395 Gordon Drive in Port Royal.  This home received multiple awards, but the awards pertaining to Romanza Interior Design include Interior Design of the Year, Best Master Suite ($200,001-$250,000), and Best Kitchen Design (over $250,000).  The 4,667-square-foot luxury waterfront home features an open floor plan that includes a spacious great room and adjoining kitchen and dining area, as well as a study, wine cellar, elevator, and a second-floor loft with morning kitchen.  Jennifer Stevens, Senior Design Director for Romanza Interior Design, created a sophisticated West Indies-Coastal design that blends large-format honed stone and wood plank flooring, accent panels of exotic woods like sapele, anigre and walnut, and distinctive reglet details on walls and door frames. The home also showcases an underlying contemporary style demonstrated in clean-lined, large-scale upholstered furniture and a sophisticated palette of finishes, including mixed metals, woods, and leather.

The master bedroom provides a gorgeous view of the Cutlass Cove and the mangroves on Keewaydin Island through a wall of glass sliding doors.  The bed, which Stevens custom designed to include a chenille and leather upholstered full-height headboard, is positioned so that it faces the sliding glass doors and the exquisite view beyond them.  These sliding glass doors can also be covered with motorized blackout shades you can access right from the bed.  There is also a television tucked away by the automated custom lift concealed under the bed, but easily accessible should you want to watch your favorite show before going to sleep.

The luxury kitchen also received recognition for its design.  In this room, Stevens opted for a mix of white and high-gloss lacquer walnut cabinetry with frosted glass panels and a freestanding center island with a cooktop, gallery-style double sinks and a cantilevered countertop.  Four modern bar stools finished with toffee metal, java walnut, and charcoal-brown block-patterned upholstery are tucked under the countertop just in case you have a little company while you prepare your feast.

The Watlington in Old Naples

Romanza Interior Design also received Interior Design of the Year and Best Kitchen ($150,001-$200,000) for the Watlington located at 41 5th Street South in Old Naples.  This single-family home features 4,182 square feet of living space with a focus on the open floor plan blending the great room, dining room, and luxury kitchen.  This space was further highlighted with the coastal contemporary design created by Jennifer Stevens.  She chose to focus on the connectivity between spaces and entertaining with bright turquoise and green and coral accent pieces, as well as backlit beams and a glimmer of metallic and reflective surfaces and ample upholstered furniture and casegoods for comfortable seating for entertaining and conversation.  Wood tones mix with polished nickel, glass, capiz, graphite, aged silver, metallic pewter, chrome and shimmering crystal add to the naturally elegant design. Other highlights of the home include a blue-flame glacier crystal linear fireplace in the dining room, rich ombre draperies in shades of blue, a large rustic oak and antique nickel table with seating for eight, and ash wood flooring.  The kitchen, which was pinpointed for its design, features pompeii extra white and statuario quartz countertops with a textured large-format Porcelanosa tile backsplash, a large kitchen island with a cantilevered countertop and storage, and an additional sink and casual seating.

The Sonoma in Mediterra Naples

The last luxury model home earning a Sand Dollar Award for Romanza Interior Design was the Sonoma model located in the Caminetto neighborhood at Mediterra Naples.  This 4,421 square-foot single-family home received the Interior Design of the Year Award for its contemporary organic design melding warm tones, tactile materials, and natural elements, such as limestone, natural oak, grass cloth, and bark cloth to provide a refined look, anchored by 36 by 36-inch honed limestone flooring finished in a champagne tone. Throughout the main living areas, ivory backgrounds are accented with slate-blue and chamois in the artwork and accent fabrics.
